Nautical Waters is a non profit organization focused on ensuring our marine life live in oceans free of discarded fishing gear and ghost nets. A single discarded fishing net can entangle and kill hundreds of animals. These ghost nets are also a major contributor to the ocean plastics crisis. Did you know that over 600,000 tons of discarded fishing nets and gear end up in oceans every year?
WHY NAUTICAL WATERS?
Meet Natalie McInTosh! Natalie is a 15 year old woman who has a strong passion for the ocean and marine life. She is determined to make our oceans cleaner and safer for all marine life to live in. She is so passionate about making a difference that she recently started her new non profit, Nautical Waters. In between volleyball practice and school work, Natalie works tirelessly to spread awareness about the consequences of discarded fishing nets and gear in our oceans.
Growing up I also had a fascination with marine life. I was and still am in awe of marine life - in particular, dolphins, whales and manatee. With this, I wanted to support a young woman with a passion for making the world a better place. She is truly an inspiration and I hope through our partnership to help her raise awareness and develop her non profit.
Natalie is currently waiting to receive the charitable status for her registered non profit. In the meantime, I encourage you to support her efforts and donate through her Go Fund Me page listed below. Please join me and help make a difference!
